Abstract

Water resources data for the 1979 water year for coal regions of West Virginia consist of records of discharge and water quality of streams, wells, mines, and abandoned mine shafts; and water levels in wells and abandoned mine shafts. Section 1 consists of data obtained for the statewide Coal Hydrology Monitoring project and includes discharge and water-quality data collected during two sampling periods at 361 sites. Section 2 consists of data obtained for the Mining Effects Research project in five small basins in southwestern West Virginia during the period February 1976 to January 1980 and includes records of water quality for 53 stream sampling sites, 52 well sampling sites, 31 mine-discharge sampling sites, and 2 mine-shaft sampling sites; and water levels in 6 wells and 2 mine shafts.

Water Resources Data, Pennsylvania, Water Year 2005, Volume 2. Susquehanna and Potomac River Basins

Water resources data for the 2005 water year for Pennsylvania consist of records of discharge and water quality of streams; contents and elevations of lakes and reservoirs; and water levels and water quality of ground-water wells. This report, Volume 2 contains (1) discharge records for 89 continuous-record streamflow-gaging stations, 13 partial-record stations, 23 special study and miscellaneous streamflow sites; (2) elevation and contents for 12 lakes and reservoirs, and water-quality records for 12 lakes and reservoirs; (3) water-quality records for 33 gaging stations and 68 ungaged streamsites; (4) water-level records for 40 network observation wells; and (5) water-quality analyses at 35 special study ground-water wells. Site locations are shown in figures throughout the report. Additional water data collected at various sites not involved in the systematic data-collection program are also presented. These data together with the data in Volumes 1 and 3, represent that part of the National Water Data System operated by the U.S. Geological Survey and cooperating State, local, and Federal agencies in Pennsylvania.

Water-resources data for the United States: water year 2012

Water resources data are published annually for use by engineers, scientists, managers, educators, and the general public. These archival products supplement direct access to current and historical water data provided by NWISWeb. Beginning with Water Year 2006, annual water data reports are available as individual electronic Site Data Sheets for the entire Nation for retrieval, download, and localized printing on demand. National distribution includes tabular and map interfaces for search, query, display and download of data. From 1962 until 2005, reports were published by State as paper documents, although most reports since the mid-1990s are also available in electronic form through this web page. Reports prior to 1962 were published in occasional USGS Water-Supply Papers and other reports.
