Hydrogeologic data for Rocky Creek landfill and adjacent area, northwest Hillsborough County, Florida, 1969-73

Well location and construction data are summarized for 222 wells in the Rocky Creek landfill and adjacent area in northwest Hillsborough County. Most of the data are for 92 wells within the immediate vicinity of the landfill. Water-quality data are presented for 78 wells and 9 surface-water sites. Water-level data for 133 wells penetrating the surficial and Floridan aquifers and lithologic logs for 35 wells are also presented. (USGS)

Estimated water use in the Southwest Florida Water Management District and adjacent areas, 1980

Water-use data for 1980 are summarized in this report for 16 counties in the Southwest Florida Water Management District. Data include total use of ground water and surface water for each of five water-use categories. The 1980 withdrawals for each category were as follows: 290 million gallons per day for public supply, 63 million gallons per day for rural, 325 million gallons per day for industry, 416 million gallons per day for irrigation, and 6,605 million gallons per day for thermoelectric power generation. Withdrawals totaled 7,699 million gallons per day and included 983 million gallons per day of ground water and 6,716 million gallons per day of surface water. Excluding thermoelectric power generation, all water withdrawn was freshwater except 38 million gallons per day of saline ground water withdrawn for industrial use in Hillsborough County. (USGS)

Hydrogeologic data for Eureka Springs landfill and adjacent area, north-central Hillsborough County, Florida, 1969-73

Well location and construction data are summarized for 218 wells in the Eureka Springs landfill and adjacent areas in north-central Hillsborough County, FL. Most of the data are for 88 wells within the immediate vicinity of the landfill. Water-quality data are presented for 93 of the wells and 13 surface-water sites. Also presented are water-level data for the surficial and Floridan aquifers for 162 of the wells and lithologic logs for 43 of the wells. (USGS)
